Embedding Mixbook on EduBlogs
Today I got a request from Paul that he would like to embed his Mixbook on his Edublog. Here is Paul’s Mixbook, embedded in my Edublog!
[kml_flashembed movie="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/476abda21237f37b/47bf1c323269d595/476abda21237f37b/13fd3257" width="384" height="404" wmode="transparent"/]
In order to achieve this, you have to follow these three steps:
- Navigate to your Mixbook’s page. Paul’s is http://www.mixbook.com/books?bid=220480.
- In the “Share” section, click on the “Code” tab, and select “MySpace Code”. Paul’s MySpace code is:
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/476abda21237f37b/47bf6c226629813e/476abda21237f37b/2fb1b3a4" id="W476abda21237f37b47bf6c226629813e" height="404" width="384"> <param value="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/476abda21237f37b/47bf6c226629813e/476abda21237f37b/2fb1b3a4" name="movie"/> <param value="transparent" name="wmode"> <param value="all" name="allowNetworking"> <param value="always" name="allowScriptAccess"> <embed name="Mixbook Albums Player" id="W476abda21237f37b47bf6c226629813e" width="384" height="404" src="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/476abda21237f37b/47bf6c226629813e/476abda21237f37b/2fb1b3a4" allowScriptAccess="always" quality="high" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /> </object>
- From this embed code, you can get the source of the flash movie file from Mixbook:
src="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/476abda21237f37b/47bf6c226629813e/476abda21237f37b/2fb1b3a4"
- You can use the following code to embed your Mixbook on your EduBlog:
[kml_flashembed movie="{MOVIE SOURCE HERE}" width="384" height="404" wmode="transparent"/]So the actual code would be:
[kml_flashembed movie="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/476abda21237f37b/47bf6c226629813e/476abda21237f37b/2fb1b3a4" width="384" height="404" wmode="transparent"/]
And there you have it: a Mixbook on your EduBlog! By the way, we love to hear about your uses of Mixbook on Edublog. If you ever have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please email feedback@mixbook.com.
Mixbooking in Class,
Andrew
